Dental Referrals for Specialist Treatment
Offering our specialist dental skills to local Bromley dental practices.
At the Smile Dental Practice, we are proud to be able to offer our patients an extensive range of both essential and cosmetic dental procedures, from a basic filling to the highly sophisticated, and increasingly popular, teeth replacement method, dental implants.
We also offer specialist dentistry which may not be available at all dentists in the Bromley area. To ensure that patients of other practices are able to receive these treatments when needed, we are very pleased to accept referrals for specific treatments from other local practitioners.
Treatments
As well as general care, and cosmetic procedures, we are able to offer the following dental services for which we accept referrals.
Endodontics – More commonly known as root canal treatment. This is a highly effective way of preserving a natural tooth, where the soft inner part has been infected.
Periodontics – Treating gum disease efficiently and effectively is one of the main ways in which we can prevent tooth loss. Our periodontic team at the Smile Dental Practice will help to restore your patient’s gums to a healthy state.
Orthodontics – A wide variety of ‘cosmetic’ dental braces are now available to suit every need and, following consultation with the patient, we are able to advise and treat a patient wishing to have straighter teeth, accordingly.
Dental implants – This is a particularly popular referral service for our team. Whilst not a specialist dental discipline in its own right, extra training is required to be able to place dental implants for patients. Extra sophisticated equipment is also needed, and, for these reasons, many dental practices do not currently offer this treatment. If your patient would benefit from dental implants, we will be pleased to discuss their treatment with you.
What to do
Should your dental practice be interested in referring a patient to us for specialist dental care or implants, please download the referral form on our website and return it to us, following completion. We will then get back to you to arrange the patient’s care. We would like to offer assurances to other practices that we do not use the referral system to ‘steal’ patients from other practices. Once the treatment period is complete, the patient will be returned to your practice for their regular dental care. Of course, we are always available should any problems arise and are happy to assist in any way that we can.
