At the Smile Dental Practice in Bromley, we do our best to offer a comprehensive dental service to all of our patients. Whether you are looking for general dental care for your family, or to give your smile a lift with one of our cosmetic dental procedures, such as tooth whitening, we have a dental team on hand to ensure that you receive only the very best treatment possible.
We appreciate that not all dental practices are able to offer all of these services though, especially smaller practices, and, therefore, we are happy to accept referrals from other dental practices in Kent, in order for their patients to receive the treatments that they need.
Specialist services
Whilst all dental practices that are registered with the GDC have to be capable of standard procedures, such as fillings and extractions; there are some complex dental procedures which are more specialist in nature and should be performed only by those with the necessary skills to carry them out. At the Smile Dental Practice, we are able to offer the following specialist services:
Endodontics Treatment
Probably better known as a root canal procedure, endodontic treatment is concerned with preserving a natural tooth, when the inner part, containing the nerves and blood vessels, has become infected. By removing the inner part of the tooth and strengthening it with a filling and dental crown, the need to extract the affected tooth should be avoided. Our Bromley practice is fortunate to have the services of an endodontic specialist to ensure that this procedure is performed to the very highest standard.
Periodontics
Periodontics deals with conditions of the gum, especially gum diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis. Increasingly, these are problems that are being recognised as major factors in tooth loss. Preventative dental care plays a large part in avoiding these problems, but, when they do occur, we are able to treat them in their early stages to avoid any major problems.
Orthodontics
If you are looking to have straighter teeth, then our orthodontic team are here to help you. Through using modern clear dental braces like Invisalign, not only will you be able to have your teeth straightened, but also to do so in a very discreet way.
Dental Implants
Whilst not a specialism in it’s own right, when all else fails and a tooth, or number of teeth, have been lost, dental implants offer an excellent method of replacing them. Many dental practices, however, do not have the skills or equipment in place to perform this procedure. This is one of the areas where the largest number of referrals are sent to us as we have both the skills, equipment and experience of placing dental implants for our Bromley patients.
