Maintaining Good Dental Health with Denplan

Maintaining Good Dental Health with Denplan

Monthly dental plans available at our Bromley dental practice.

At the Smile Dental Practice in Bromley, we acknowledge that paying for dental care can be a cause of concern for some people. Even those on higher incomes may prefer to spread the cost of payments, rather than receive an individual bill for each treatment.

For this reason, we have chosen to offer our patients a monthly payment plan, in the form of Denplan, to allow patients to spread the costs of their treatments.

Regular examinations

Through offering a monthly payment, our hope is to encourage all of our dental patients from young to old, to continue receiving regular oral examinations from one of our Bromley dentists. By doing so, incidences of dental decay or gum disease should be spotted in their early stages and either treated, or, in the case of early stage gum disease, patients advised as to how to improve the way that they clean and floss their teeth.

As well as the two oral examinations each year, the plan includes two visits to see our hygienist. This should be seen as an essential part of dental care, rather than an ‘add on’ as some seem to see it. The hygienist at Smile Dental Practice is able to take the time not only to scale and polish the teeth in order to remove any hardened plaque that may have formed on the teeth or gums, but also to offer an educational role, and look at your current oral health regimen and discuss possible improvements.

10% discounts

In addition to the examinations and hygienist visits, the Denplan scheme also offers a 10% discount off our private dental fees. This can be especially useful for those who come to our Bromley practice to receive cosmetic dental procedures such as teeth whitening. These discounts, along with the regular checks, should ensure that the need for highly invasive procedures should be largely avoided. This does, however, depend on the patient abiding by any advice received from the hygienist, and also acknowledging and understanding the role of a good diet to keep the teeth strong and healthy.

Unfortunately, whilst we can examine and clean your teeth, if you leave our dental practice and continue with a high sugar diet until the next examination, the chances are that dental problems will occur. By providing the necessary information and support for our Bromley patients, and with the ability to spread payments through the use of our Denplan scheme, we hope that most patients will continue to have attractive, strong and healthy teeth for many more years to come.
